It’s from “The Strain”, episode 6, right after late police officers… Do you see the logo?
hittosama said: Number 1 please!1. What OTPs in your fandom(s) do you just not get?
Actually, I can rationalise every pairing. But if you ask me about emotional, not logical side of “not get”, I shall answer with these couples:
- Donatello/Jhanna - I see mutual, non-romantic respect from both sides;
- Leonardo/Karai - again mutual respect, and I much more prefer them as occasional allies, rather than lovers;
- Leonardo/Raphael/Leonardo - they do not even need to be lovers to create a sexual tension around;
- Raphael/Donatello (2k12) - they do not suit for each other. And Raphael should learn not to break Don’s bō, for a start;
- Donatello/April O’Neil (2k12) - ew. Too pinky and noisy for my taste… Not to mention all the issues with that pair;
- Splinter/the turtles (consensual) - as a father/parent, a master, a only really close person for 15 years, he has a massive, MASSIVE power over them (do not forget, that they are outcasts to the above world). Limited space, teacher/student roles, zero protection. It is an authority abuse. They are not equal partners in this equation;
- Raphael/Ninjara - I do not see them together at all. And I like Mezcaal more.
Thank you for asking!

You already know, that I liked Nickelodeon show at first. I was excited! New TMNT series, nice fighting, witty dialogues, Sean Astin as Raphael, what a great time to be alive, I thought. Not so much now…
The second is 1987 series. Not the cartoon itself, but the impact it left on the perception of the turtles and their stories. They are much more, than pizza jokes, goofiness, unwise villains and idle weapons. But I cannot truly blame that particular version, because it opened TMNT for the world, and without it I would never discover the comics and met the original characters.8. Unpopular opinion about TMNT?
I do not want SAINW analogous episode in the Nickelodeon show. I doubt, that they could handle that with respect for the characters. 2k3 was never too dark, in my opinion, so in the new, “for kids”, show it would be rather unfeeling.
I like Raphael to be the tallest one, not the “little angry guy” type.9. Have you received anon hate? What about?
I am a lucky person - all hate or threats I have received in person, face-to-face. Except the one. That was on phone. But I do not remember what about, it was hard to wade through foul language.10. Any fandom you’re ashamed of being in?
TMNT is the only fandom I am more or less active in. Not ashamed, never will.

6. Has fandom ever ruined a pairing for you?
I had a soft spot for Leonardo/Donatello, and that spot would, probably, sprout into something great, but, first, I already had one OTP (you all should know so far which one), second, I read several stories, when Leonardo was portrayed overly dominating over Don, and Donatello, in turn, was overly obedient, with servile traits. It has cooled the interest a little.
It is still a very natural pairing for me to like, so with time these two may become my second OTP.
As you can see, it is hard to “ruin” something for me, main value was, that I do not “romance” many personages at the same time.
- What OTPs in your fandom(s) do you just not get?
- Are there any popular fandom OTPs you only BroTP?
- Any fandoms that don’t appeal to you?
- Have you ever unfollowed someone? Why?
- Do you have a NoTP in [insert fandom here]?
- Has fandom ever ruined a pairing for you?
- Is there anything you used to like, but now can’t stand?
- Unpopular opinion about [insert fandom here]?
- Have you received anon hate? What about?
- Any fandom you’re ashamed of being in?

Yes, I have read them, and general reaction is “meh”. Too many things I am not fond of. Mostly it is due to personal preferences. I do not really want to dwell on reasons, so I shall give you a list:

Anonymous said: I still dont gey why people keep taking Koya as a male o.O i mean we all know that she is female is writing on the comic, no? yes she dont have really femenine characteristic's but let be honest, male and female bird looks very... VERY similar. i remeber a friend of mine saying that she will look better with breast and i was like: >_> really? why a bird need breast for?. has something similar ever happen to ya?
ugh, i know! she’s officially female but some people still don’t give up. it’s because male is default, unless a character has markers of traditional feminine sex appeal then the character gets interpreted as male.
i don’t know if people really think about it but in most versions of TMNT the mutant animals are physically androgynous, even the Turtles (with the exception of maybe the new movie XD). the Turtles don’t really have any conventional masculine traits other than occasionally big muscles depending on who’s drawing them but we read them as default male. so i wanted to do the same thing with Koya and Alopex, i wanted them to be feminine on their own mutant animal terms. Koya is perfectly feminine for who and what she is.
As turtles go, the brothers are (in most representations) explicitly feminine in form, because their nails/claws are of even length between their fingers and toes, their tails are short and slender (if at all present) and their plastrons (ventral shell) are convex. In most turtle species, the males have longer claws on their forelimbs than their hind legs (for holding onto the female, supposedly), their tails are thicker and longer, and their plastrons are at least partially or marginally concave (so they don’t fall off the female’s back).Source mooncalfe
Now I know the reason why.Source youtube.com
welp for those of you that like to headcanon the turtles as different ages, here it is: donatello is probably older than raphael.
Weird though, because I’m pretty sure he answered that before; I don’t remember where, but I remember reading about it years ago! That’s why the “Raph is second oldest” headcanon has always annoyed me slightly: one of the creators specifically stated otherwise, so why do you keep insisting?
i really have no idea because when talking about canon i insist they are all the same age, that there is no “oldest” or “youngest”
but in fan-work i like to write donatello as the oldest of all of them just to do something different so i’m totally off base and idc i love doing it that way
Apparently Peter Laird believes Raph is the second oldest, whereas Kevin Eastman favours the idea of Donnie being second oldest, so therein could lie the confusion.
